BBQ

After some enjoyable kayaking, there is no better way of treating yourself than with a private seafood barbecue on an unspoilt beach.

Within minutes a quiet beach is transformed into a romantic spot with beautiful umbrellas providing shade and an elegant dining table right on the beach. Our crew will invite you for a BBQ lunch on the beach – as if it were a wonderful gift granted by a mermaid. Imagine for a moment that you are the only people on earth enjoying a fabulous meal under the clear blue sky on your own private beach.

Start with a glass of wine and proceed to enjoy an array of succulent, grilled seafood. The melodious music of the waves will put the finishing touches to the perfect, dreamy ambience.

This BBQ on the beach is offered and included in 3 day 2 night cruise with Princess Junk, Prince Junk, Red Dragon Junk and other longer itinerary.

Kayaking

Kayaking in Halong Bay is the best way to explore the breathtaking beauty of Halong Bay. Paddle through islets; visit hidden caves, lagoons, unspoiled beaches and floating fishing villages…Kayaks go where other big boats cannot. Depending on trip length, visitors have different kayak route and time frame. Cruise with Indochina Junk, paddling around the islands, get closer to limestone karst and enjoy the breathtaking nature in a less visited corner of Bai Tu Long Bay must be a great experience for life.

When kayaking, you must follow the tour guide; it is risky to do by yourself without warning or instruction. The tour guide will help you use paddle and guide you to the safe area. Life jacket is a must for this activity when cruising Halong Bay. You can need to prepare suitable clothes: T-shirt and short, swimming suit in summer; warm clothes in the winter; wet shoes, hat, sunglasses… bring water, sun cream, dry bag storing camera, insect repellent…

Thanks to the bay’s thousands of islands the conditions for sea kayaking are ideal – the water is calm, the current is fine and the wind is not too strong.

Kayaking is provided and included in all itineraries and cruise offered by Indochina Junk.

Mangrove Forestation in Halong Bay

As part of our ecotourism programme for a responsible environment in Halong Bay, our mangrove forestation project was first initiated by Indochina Junk for the purpose of restoring an area of mangrove that has been reduced by the effects of nature and man. We are helping to create a living environment for the species to provide abundant marine resources for those living in the fishing villages around Halong Bay.

This is one of the project in “For a green Halong Bay” program, aim to support local people; raise their awareness to protect environment and develop sustainable tourism.

By joining our mangrove forestation tour, visitors have a chance to show their responsibility through practical activities such as planting mangrove trees. A bit of hard work and a lot of fun, join in the activities you never thought you would do in modern life even if you had the time. Join in, and experience a unique experience with us

Arranged the 3D 2 N trip through Brilliant Halong Cruises. The communication, price and organization was excellent. They confirmed pickup with the hotel the night prior. The van trip is hectic but the around 4 hrs passes quickly. The Indochina Junk "dock" is efficient and practiced. WE were underway on time and soon served an enormous lunch-seriously do not have breakfast. The cabins, meals guide etc were all brilliant. First night cave dinner a highlight. Drinks on board were expensive for Vietnam but about what you would pay in an Australian hotel-or less! Halong Bay cruising was unforgetable. The kayaking was included and more than enough as was a trip to the floating village. The 2 day trip is a must. Overall something you will never forget

We travelled on a traditional wooden junk on the DRAGONS PEARL CRUISE. The staff were lovely, and although the deluxe cabin was small it had everything needed. A local official has insisted that all junks on Halong Bay are painted white-uniformity gone mad!
The scenery was absolutely stunning (World Heritage Site 1994). We were taken by tender to a local beach where snorkling, kyaking, and swimming were possible. We climbed to Surprise Cave, and watched a glorious sunset from the beach.
The food on board was superb, and the skill of the chefs shown by some food sculptures
as part of the evening meal.
After anchoring overnight we were taken around a fish farm in sampans by local fishermen and to an artificial pearl farm-fascinating.
This is a "must do" in Vietnam - it was the highlight of our tour from Hanoi to Ho Chi Min City.

We did 3day/2night on Dragon Pearl 2, have a lot of searching, and what a wonderful end to our 2 weeks in Vietnam. Staff were amazing, food absolutely top class and plenty of it. BBQ in the cave was amazing and the staff had taken everything we needed over to the cave, and when we entered the cave we were blown away by how wonderful it looked. Candles and rose petals etc. Each of our 8 or 9 courses came with a carved vegetable animal, finishing with a copy of our boat with its sails up. This company goes where thee are few boats and so very peaceful.
The fog came down on the morning of our return and looked very mistique, through a bit worrying when all the crew were out looking for rising cliffs. All was well aswe found our way back having a beautiful lunch before returning to shore. The bus trip of 4 hours there and back is a bit long, but worth it for the trip.

we did the overnight cruise with the Pearl Dragon and the cruise was very well organized, passenger friendly, had great food, and wonderful sights with the sun coming out at just the right moments. The climb up to the cave was well worth while, and the kayaking fun. Our tour guide was friendly and fluent in English and French. The rooms were clean and adequate. Just take a few items and leave your luggage in Hanoi if possible. The drive down is 3-4 hours, so a one day trip would be tedious and not worthwhile.

Have just completed an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay on Dragon Pearl 3. This was awesome and everything the the brochures show and more. There are 400 junks out on Ha Long Bay, the area where Indochina Junks take you is not crowded at all, with only their boats in the area. The food was fantastic, the rooms are great (best to take only your day pack to give you more room). The scenery is absolutely stunning and you get to view it up close with the kayaking, swimming and the fishing village tour. Would definitely recommend the Dragon Pearl to others.

Not much to add to what otehrs have said, we had an amazing time and loved this cruise. It was very luxurious (for us) and the whole trip was great... I find it really hard to pick fault. Yes its a bit mroe expensive, but in my opinion worth it have such a lovely time. The staff were all really nice, the boat was gorgeous, food delicious, activitites were really good and you certinaly had plenty of time to enjoy and relax rather than being rushed around.
