I went to Halong Bay on2 day tour & enjoyed it. It is a long day, but you get to see the countryside & how some people live. I went for just the day out on the bay & just loved it, you tour guides make sure that you are enjoying yourself. The food on the boat for lunch was very filling & on request prior to taking the tour tell the booking person you want vegetarian & they provide a good meal. The views of the area are beautiful & the waters are very calm to travel on. Overall you will enjoy it even when you travel on your own also.

We have jut returned from the cruise with my husband, self and 4 year old son. This boat is wonderful. The rooms are lovely and the bathroom very elegant. Our tour guide was wonderful and the food is too die for. Some of the best we have had. The boat goes to a different group of islands so you don have a large group of people around. We visited a fishing village and a pearl farm. We only went into one cave which I feel was the only downfall of the cruise. The seond day we kayaked and then swam back to the boat. The swim was lovely and I could have floated in halong bay for hours. It is so amazing to be in the water with the huge limestone mountains towering above you. It was quite a magial experience. The boat only has 5 rooms and we had a family room which was huge. There were only 7 passengers on the boat and we all had a wonderful experiene, I am sorry we didn stay on for 2 nights. |

We did the 2day/1night cruise in june on Red Dragon 2 and had a great time. One of the best things is they don go to the same place as every other man and his junk. We only saw 1 or 2 boats the whole time which made it feel like you had the whole place to yourself. The food is amazing, with dinner being about 8 courses including whole steamed crab, sea bass, prawns etc. Drinks are pretty reasonable and service was great. Included Kayaking which a lot of the other boats don . |

If you talk to other travelers about Halong Bay, youll more than likely hear how beautiful it is and how you can get a slammin deal, but youll see tons of other boats during your trip. Yes, you can get great deals on a Halong Bay tour, but those boats will be surrounded by boats on all sides. My husband and I decided to spend the extra money for a 2 day/1 night Red Dragon Halong Bay trip because its route avoids other boats. It was most definitely worth the extra money. The staff was kind and helpful, the boat comfortable, the food delicious, the passengers limited to 5 berths, and we only saw one other boat the entire time. Some reviewers said they wished they had done the 3 day/2 night tour, but 2 day/1 night satisfied us. |

Having spent weeks researching which boat to take in Halong Bay... I must say I think they are probably all the same but... This was perfect! Great room (very spacious and quite high end), amazing food (I still think about the fresh clams with pineapple salsa) and amazing scenery. I would do this trip again and confidently recommend to all. |
