 Kayaking

Kayaking in Ha Long Bay is more than an indulgence, it offers vistas not reachable by other means.

The setting cannot be more dramatic. Thousands of limestone peaks rise magically from crystalline emerald waters, dotted by islets and deep, mysterious caves.

However to access all of them, conventional boat tours are not the best way, say both experienced and greenhorn kayakers after doing their thing in the famous Ha Long Bay, located in the Gulf of Tonkin, and in the running for adjudication as a natural world wonder. Over the last decade or so, kayaking has become a popular activity in Ha Long Bay, which covers an area of 1,500 square kilometers, offering many options for both the less and the more adventurous.

With modern kayaking equipment, visitors can maximize on speed and maneuverability as they explore the open sea and many hidden lagoons and stalagmite caves that are difficult to access by other means. After a day of paddling amongst islets, visiting hidden caves, lagoons, unspoiled beaches and floating fishing villages, they unwind on the boat and enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

Dining in a Cave

After a whole day packed full of activities, we anchor at a secluded harbour where you will enjoy an amazing dinner in your private cave. Pass through the cave’s mouth and along the candle-lit pathway for the most enchanting of experiences. Allow yourself to be bewitched by the mystical scenery inside.

The dinner will be an unforgettable experience as much for the delicious and beautifully presented food, as for the romantic setting. This is a wonderful occasion, ideal for a honeymoon, wedding anniversary, birthday, or even a special surprise for your loved one. Enjoy, share, relax – it will make your trip even more memorable.

Fishing trip

Going fishing with local fishermen makes for an excellent tour. White Dolphin Cruise is the first and only company on Halong Bay with this programme. Our fishing trips create the genuine feeling of being a fisherman on these waters, and make for an exciting and interesting excursion for all tourists.

Experience the life of the fisherman in Bai Tu Long

Features: The launch of our Fisherman Boat is to help you see the hidden Halong and Bai Tu Long while being in work with the fisherman on their daily life activities.

The boat (see in the picture) is designed small and simple to the style of the fishing boat, that helps go real fishing to the hidden corners of the Bay.

Through this activity, we also want to show you the work we, White Dolphin Cruise and the local fisherman are doing to help protect the environment of this World natural treasure.

Bai Tu Long is still an uncharted bay in Ha Long, offering a chance to get “off the beaten track”, not just visit the fishing villages; you will have a chance to go fishing with the locals, learn more about their life and enjoy Bai Tu Long on this special way, this will not only make our offer unique but your trip unforgettable!

Beach BBQ

After some enjoyable kayaking, there is no better way of treating yourself than with a private seafood barbecue on an unspoilt beach. Within minutes a quiet beach is transformed into a romantic spot with beautiful umbrellas providing shade and an elegant dinning table right on the beach. Our crew will invite you for a BBQ lunch on the beach – as if it were a wonderful gift granted by a mermaid. Imagine for a moment that you are the only people on earth enjoying a fabulous meal under the clear blue sky on your own private beach. Start with a glass of wine and proceed to enjoy an array of succulent, grilled seafood. The melodious music of the waves will put the finishing touches to the perfect, dreamy ambience.

Paddling around the islands then stopping by a wild beach to enjoy seafood barbecue is your sophisticated moment in your trip. Enjoying fully the feeling that you are the only people with a fabulous meal on your own private beach in one of the heavens on Earth. Starting with a glass of wine and proceed to enjoy an array of succulent, grilled seafood. The melodious melody of the waves and blue sky will get paradise close to you.

We were a party of four friends and our personal tour guide was at each airport to meet us and organise our sightseeing trips for the duration. We had 3 guides in total and all were charming, polite and very knowledgeable. Although we did find one of them a little difficult to understand occasionally, we were still well informed of the tours and the sights. Our guides checked us into our hotels and left us with clear instructions of when we would be collected the next day and what to expect as well as offering us recommendations of where we might like to eat out that evening.
We were transported - just the 4 of us and our guide - in small mini-busses with air-con and the driver remained on call at all times so we were always quickly picked up when we had finished at a place of interest. It also meant that our suitcases could remain on board with the driver on our day of arrival so that we could go straight on tour and not have to check into the hotel until the end of the day.
Generally our lunches were included in the tour and these were always local Vietnamese specialities - menus chosen for us - and were delicious - we were able to try dishes we might not otherwise have done.
The hotels chosen for us were all excellent. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and experience of Vietnam. Our only disappointment was that, having been driven 4 hours from Hanoi to Halong Bay and having had a delicious lunch on board our WHITE DOLPHIN CRUISE boat, we were turned off the boat and taken back on another 4 hour bus trip to Hanoi due to fog preventing the cruise going ahead. Fortunately, our personal tour advisor, Tommy , was immediately in phone contact with us to reassure us that she had organised our hotel accommodation for that night on our return to Hanoi.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday due to the very efficient organisation by Brilliant Halong Cruises company and have no hesitation in recommending their services to anybody who wants a tailor-made tour of Vietnam.

The cruise visit 2 bays: Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. Awesome cruise with a great crew & guides. An absolute must do when visiting North Vietnam. This cruise may be a little pricey compared to others, but I am glad I spent the extra. Rooms were great & the food was very good. Got a nice little surprise being the only one who booked a 2 night cruise, while the 1st batch of guests returned home I ended up getting a private day tour. We deviated from schedule a bit and found a remote spot to kayak & swim all day with no one else around. Magic

Halong bay is a place that can only be bestdescribed as natures gift to Vietnam .easily accessible by road from hai phong , it is dotted with hotels of every budget. We did only a day cruise and now, looking back, I feel that a night trip with local entertainment would have have been an ideal combination.
The guide was very well versed in English and they served us some great Vietnamese food for lunch.sitting out on the deck, the azure waters of the bay spanning the horizon and the natural rock formations jutting out from its midst added to the mystical charm of the place which has enough and more folklore attached to it!
There are some caves with natural stalactite and stalacmite formations which are worth a short stopover, though the small souvenier shops are a wee bit overpriced.

Halong Bay, by itself, deserves the jurney to Vietnam. There are different levels of boats. Try to get the most luxurious one, so that the visit would be perfect. The invironment is amazing

My wife & I had a very enjoyable over night cruise with White Dolphin on Halong Bay. We were very lucky in that there was only 2 other couples, both of the same age and same part of the world. The crew were great with a sense of humour and the fantastic food just kept coming.
Our only regret was that we did not do a 2 night/3 day cruise as Halong Bay is something to die for. It would also justify the long slow 4 hour trip to & from Hanoi.

Would like recommend Cross Halong bay company.

Thank you Kim
